Tonight is the first meeting of the Introduction to Philosophy class I teach at Redeemer University College, and we will be watching the movie Wit.





Our discussion questions:

(1) How do each of the following characters in the film behave toward Vivian Bearing, Ph.D - Harvey Kelekian, M.D (the older doctor), E.M. Ashford, D.Phil (Ms. Bearing’s former teacher), Susie Monahan, R.N., B.S.N (the nurse), and Jason Posner, M.D. (the younger doctor)?

(2) What, in your opinion, does their behaviour tell us about their beliefs?
